She’s Alive!!! Oh, and some pictures of the Wonderkitten...

Who is? Kiri, of course!

She finally checked in. Swamped, overworked – but alive! Ye Gawds, I’ve missed her!

My ADSL connection remains unstable. An error report have been filed and closed, citing they can’t find anything wrong with my line. An hour and a half after I got that message on my cell phone, it went back down again. I called and they re-opened it.

Funny thing is, it seems to come back up every time I call customer support, then it goes down again a couple of hours later. It’s frustrating as hell, especially since they’re testing for errors while it’s up. That’s not gonna make them any wiser as to what’s the what.

I shared some pictures of Ylva with Kiri, as she’s grown a lot since the last pictures she saw. There was a lot of Aaaaw’ing coming through the AIM after that. I suspect there was also some Coo’ing at the pictures that she didn’t let me in on.

In mommy’s bed, playing with one of her favorite toys.

So very, very tired. ‘Lemme sleep, would ya?’

Queen of the world! Well, the recliner, anyway…

YOW! Bright light, BRIGHT LIGHT!!!

Some of the pictures I managed to snap off are a little fuzzy. Told you she’s a moving target, didn’t I? She’s got no patience for posing, that’s for damn sure.

My vacation request went through. I get the week between Christmas and New Year’s off. Cool beans, that means I can actually be a little social when my sister and nephew arrive. Only two more weeks, then I get a whole week off. I’m counting the days.

Wow! It took nearly an hour to get the pictures uploaded. Told you my ADSL line is behaving badly.

Time for bed, Good Night.

SHe beautiful!!! Harvey is up on my shoulder, tryign to get to the screen, which isn't unusualy mind you, but he is a bit more eager than normal! :)

Beautiful indeed!!! How do you pronounce Ylva?

Glad to hear you are going to get some downtime. That's awesome news! You deserve it!!

Well, how to explain how to pronounce her name... the English pronunciation of the letter 'Y' doesn't apply, as her name isn't Whylva. Remove the 'Wh' sound, and stick to the last sound of the word 'Why' and you're cooking.

Harvey needs to be careful, or he'll be forever known as a cradle robber! My baby is only six months old, most of her babyfur still in place, though she is busily replacing it, especially on her backside.

She'll be fully grown at four years old, then Harvey can have a better peek, though, she'll probably be twice his size by then. ;o)

Ylva is gorgous and is only adding to my frustrations at how pricey they are and how impossible (and tramatic) it would be to get one over here. I even had a cutie-boy picked out.

Glad that you'll get some time off. I would try for some myself, but the boss is going to Belgium for business so... work should be a little more peaceful than usual. If things are going to blow up, they'll blow up the day he's leaving. ::snickers::

Well, you missed out on little Fenris, that's for sure.

I bought a harness for Ylva, yesterday. Y'know, the kind for walks on a leash... I slapped it on her, and did we have a super wrestling match on, or what??? She's not in favor of it, I kept coo'ing at her about how cool she looked... She gave me glare that spoke volumes, if she did speak, she'd said something along the lines of; 'Yeah? You think it's so cool? You wear the farkin' thing yourself!'

So, no walks yet. Whenever I try to put it on her, we have to fight tooth and nail (well, she does anyway) and then she acts like I' trying to kill her... Back to the drawing board!

Keep trying. Little Georgia goes as flat and small as she can when I try to put her's on her. She sits there in this little ball (in a harness) doing the low-pitched growl that threatens major bodily harm if the situation doesn't improve NOW. No walkies for her either.

But keep trying... Ylva is still young, she might learn to accept it if it means going outside.

Not freaking likely!

No balling up and growling. Full out yowls and a full on wrestling match. Not even Chris Benoit could take her on in a situation like that. And he's a technical mat wrestler... Mostly. I think he'd run for cover...

Hey, you should have too. Claws and fangs against spandex?

Seen what he looks like? That's not the face of a man known for running away! He'd meet his match in Ylva, though... She's brutal, and fast as lightning, when she wants to be...

I've seen his face. I know. Still those claws and spandex don't mix.

::Slash::

Announcer: "And Ylva scores a quick victory with one swipe of her claws as Benoit retreats to the locker room covering his 'pride' as best he can in the shreds of his outfit."

Referee: "And your winner by modesty is... Ylva!"

That could happen, them claws are wicked sharp!

She dug one set of 'em into my neck yesterday, as she fought not to fall off her perch on the back of my chair. No scratches, but I did get five wicked, deep holes in the back and side of my neck. Still hurts, to be honest. Me thinks that either her tail is too big and heavy (she might not be completely used to it yet) or she's getting a big, fat @$$!

Hmmm... Anonymous, eh? Would that be ShadowRider lurking, again? Or do we have a new admirer for Ylva?

I vote for the latter. ::snickers:: But look at it this way... you look like you got chewed on by 2.5 vampires. :-) That .5 one must have lost a fang somewhere.

Yeah, in my arm the day my mom and brother was here... Her teeth were itching something awful, she kept gnawing away at me. When she finally quit and walked off, I found one of her babyteeth embedded in my arm...

Um... OUCH!

Good grief. Georgia is old enough that she lost a tooth, but at least she didn't lose it by chewing on me. Ooooowww....

Told you, I'm her favorite chew-toy!

I have teeth marks, claw marks and scratches all over. She's not gentle with me!

Is there any other kind? Quick! Someone tell Ylva!!!

Okay, Ylva dear.

There are a whole lot of other types of loving.

I'll be drafting a "Cat's Guide to Their Pet Humans" for you shortly. In the meantime, try to treat your pet human like a newborn kitten. Easy on the claws and teeth, ok?

Hah! She showed you her tail! Then she showed me the business end of her claws... ::Ouch!::

Yep, nailfile... clippers... diamond-dust covered metal files for sharpening industrial tools...
